Perfect for my 6month old!,
I bought this item in hopes it would work for my 6month old. The newborm Soothies were too flimsy for him now that he has discovered turning the pacifier on it’s side to chew on it when he is teething rather than actually suck on it. He absolutely refuses to accept a change in pacifier so I wasn’t sure what I was going to do for him. I was scared he would eventually fold the newborn pacifier in half and choke on it when I wasn’t looking. Now I dont have a fear of him doing this. The sides of the paci are much more sturdy and work great for a little one who wants to chew on it now and again. It’s proven extremely difficult to find this size Soothie however in BLUE because everywehre I look sells it in pink or asks that I let them chose the colors and they dont even know what sex my baby is so I could still end up with a pink pacifier which is just simply annoying. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase and the company selling it through Amazon got it shipped out and to my house in less time than the shipping tracker predicted. It said it would be to my home in a little over a week and I had it within 3 days!! I really hope they get more in stock because I will be the first to order a few more to have as spares!!!!

|A Safer Suck,
My 6-month-old has been using the Child Med Soothie pacifiers since coming home from the hospital. Only recently I was told that because the base to the Soothie is so flexible children can bend it and fit the whole thing in their mouth. Also teething children or children with teeth can more easily bite through and break the original Soothie up. This version is thicker and harder. I thought my son would like it less for those reasons, but he doesn’t seem to notice the difference. And it makes me feel better to leave these in his crib where he uses them unsupervised at night. Even though it does not say so on the product description, these are the same pacifiers made by Child Med Ventures. These are also called “Super Soothies” and it is recommended that you switch from the original “Soothie” to this one at 6 months for safety, even if your child resists at first. The peace of mind is worth it.
I am giving the product 4 stars instead of 5 only because I wish the nipple part of the pacifier were still a bit less rigid. But it is a good product and worth the switch.
