Good product but expensive,
Product has all of the features and performance of a high end baby monitor. Image quality is good both during the day and night…even at 8+ feet away. Luliby melodys are “machine like” and limited. It would be great if you could save a song (that your child likes) on a SD card and play it from your monitor. Camera is not pan & tilt which you would expect at this price point. You also cannot stream the video via facebook or other clients. Camera works on AC or batteries which is very handy….moving it different locations is a plus. Overall a very nice product but I do think its overpriced.

|Probably the nicest baby monitor out there,
This is absolutely top quality baby monitor that has just about every bell and whistle you’d ever need. Including recording capability and line out to TV. It also has the best range I’ve found in any baby monitor. Between purchases and borrowing units from friends, we’ve tried 5 different monitors in our house and this one tied for the best. In case you’re wondering, we also tried the Levana, Summer Infant, and Motorola. The Motorola and this one had the best range.
When you pull this monitor out of the box, you can immediately tell it’s made better than most other products on the market. It’s made like home electronics rather than plastic toy. Camera gives a good picture, microphone is good quality and good sensitivity and large LCD screen is excellent. But where this one really excels over others is the night vision. It actually lights up most of the room so you can see your baby at night from across the room.
With this glowing review, you’re probably wondering why it only got 4 stars instead of 5. I have one complaint and one missing feature. My complaint is that the night vision is automatic and cannot turn off. i honestly have no idea if IR light is bad for children. I don’t think anyone has done the research to reach a conclusion on the matter. But just from a basic, usage standpoint, even if it’s minimal electricity, I don’t like the thought of IR LED’s on all night, every night in the baby’s room. On this unit, once it’s dark in the room, the IR automatically kicks on and stays on.
The missing feature is the adjustable camera. It’s not that important with an infant in a crib because she’s not going anywhere. But we just moved our toddler into her own room and the movable camera with our other monitor has proven useful when she’s moving around the room.
Ultimately, I decided to return this unit and keep our Motorola for the two reasons listed above. I would say the Luvion is better quality and has more features. But the Moto is very good quality (better than everything else out there) and has the features I want.
